The Best Day Trips from D.C.

Best Day Trips from D.CWhen I was living in D.C., most of my weekends were spent visiting all of the monuments and museums in the city. After seeing everything on my D.C. bucket list, I decided to expand and explore other cities along the east coast. All of these trips were day trips since I was working during the week and couldn’t afford to to stay at a hotel.

The great thing about living on the east coast is being able to visit a different state, even if it’s just for a day. That rarely happens in SoCal! Most of these day trips are accessible by bus such as Greyhound and Megabus, which is great because it alleviates you from having to deal with the traffic leaving the city and a ticket is usually much cheaper than gas. Taking a bus allows you to kick back and read a book, listen to music or even watch TV on your phone and allows you to sleep on the day home after a long day of exploring!

I had a lot of fun living on the east coast and visiting new cities. It allowed me to see  much of our country’s history up close and personal and see many new places that I would’ve never thought to visit if I hadn’t been living in D.C. While I was able to visit many new places, here are some of my favorite, and some of the best, day trips from D.C. (in no particular order). Continue reading

Here are 6 brewery tours that made me fee just like that and hopefully if you’re lucky enough to ever visit, make you feel that way too! Continue reading
